As ADIs, we
spend most of our time talking. Whether it's on the move or at the side
of the road, we're constantly feeding our pupils with information and
encouragement as they progress along the path to becoming safe drivers. You will have found that there are occasions where your
pupil just can't seem to accomplish a particular task; say, a manoeuvre;
independently or confidently. The "dreaded" practical test approaches... How many times have you taken your "star pupil" all the way through their training having no problems with confidence or ability at all, and yet they suddenly fall to pieces on the big day? The Problem? Quite often, even though we have the best of intentions, the things we say or do can be misinterpreted to mean something else by our pupils (or anyone else, for that matter) and can have a negative, rather than a positive effect. The answer! Road Rage Far too many people, both learners and experienced drivers alike (and some ADIs too!) suffer from aggression while driving. This, sadly, is a symptom of the high speed, highly stressed age in which we live. However, as the name suggests, Motoring Stress Management will enable ADIs to help aggressive and stressed out motorists acheive a more relaxed state of mind, allowing them to enjoy safe driving, rather than putting themselves and others at risk.
